Amazon Contributes to Face Shields Development for Americans
Within a few next weeks, the company is going to launch mass production of face shields. These will be available for purchase at no additional cost through the marketplace. The project has been started in early March by 3D printing fans elsewhere and then supported by professional engineers belonging to the Amazon drone development team.
The volunteers developed the face shields dummies, which were then improved by the Amazon drone engineers to best suit their front workers’ everyday needs. Medical experts also participated in the project to share experience, add an advanced snap, make the shields reusable, and eliminate uncomfortable edges. Ultimately, the 3D printing time was somewhat decreased by adjusting the set of 3D printer instructions. At the present moment, the shield model is almost ready for production to be started.
